Social time, reading & learning for kids at 'the library'

World Oceans Day at King’s Point & Harry’s Harbour

On a big island we Newfoundlanders are, surrounded by ocean.

June 8th is ‘World Oceans Day’.  A goal of the day is to educate and raise awareness about the importance of protecting our waterways and oceans.

The World Economic Forum is quoted on the website as stating: “There will be more plastic than fish in our oceans by 2050 if we continue on the path we are on.”

Both of the libraries at King’s Point and Harry’s Harbour will mark ‘World Oceans Day’.
