Triton Hockey Tournament to Raise Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Awareness

A weekend that will get fans, families and players together will be used to get the word out: everybody matters.

Triton Hockey Tournament to Raise Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Awareness

Tournaments are known for giving players and fans a chance for socializing, friendship and sportsmanship and Green Bay South’s Minor Hockey Bantam Team will host an invitational hockey tournament in Triton on March 1st-3rd, 2019.

Five teams in total will play in the tournament but this time the hockey weekend will be different.

A focus for this tournament will be to raise awareness for mental health concerns and suicide prevention.

Organizers say there will be plenty of information on site — on suicide prevention and from Kids Help Phone.

Sunshine Network representatives will also be on site in the arena all weekend to reach out and promote the work that the Network does.

The Sunshine Network is a non-profit group in Green Bay South that works to provide confidential help and education to youth regarding mental health and addictions.
