Trenching and Diamond Drilling at Pilley’s Island

Vancouver exploration company Great Atlantic Resources Corp. recently conducted a trenching program at its property on Pilley’s Island. It also has been preparing for diamond drilling in that area.

Great Atlantic’s exploration program at Pilley’s has been jointly operated with its option partner Unity Resources. Great Atlantic announced in May 2017 that it had optioned the property from Unity. The two companies have been planning a diamond drilling program, with a late November start, to follow the trenching.

Great Atlantic Resources announced on November 16th it received initial analytical results for rock grab samples collected during the recent trenching program. The trench samples returned up to 27.5% zinc, 20.0% lead, 8.36% copper and 63.4 g/t silver.

Trenching at Bull Road showing on Pilley’s Island exposed mineralization over a length of 130 meters with a width varying between 1 to 7 meters. The Bull Road showing will be targeted in the planned drill program.
