If you like to chase an ace, you can easily do it in Green Bay. South Brook is about to start the second Chase the Ace game in this area. Once that games starts up, you will be able hunt aces on Tuesdays in South Brook and on Thursdays in Little Bay.
Both games are in support of volunteer fire departments.
South Brook’s game will kick off on Tuesday, March 5th, at the South Brook Town Hall. Ticket sales are from 6:15-8:15pm and the draw is at 8:30pm. There will be a 50/50 draw as well.
The Chase the Ace in Little Bay is in full swing each Thursday in the Fire Hall. As of February 22, the jackpot is at $1904.00 (plus 30% of the next night’s sales). Ticket sales are from 6:15-8:15pm and the draw is at 8:30pm. Tickets are $3 each, 3 for $5 and 5 for $10.
There is a 50/50 draw each week as well.
How Chase the Ace is Played
There is a scheduled time for ticket sales, which is on the same night as the draw. Players must be present to participate.
Each week a portion of the night’s take goes to the winning ticket holder. That winner can also draw from a deck of cards.
If they get the ace of spades, they also take home the jackpot.
If the card drawn is not the precious ace, the card drawn will be destroyed. The deck will be then stored securely until the next week, when another draw is held, and the jackpot grows.
Once the Ace of Spades is drawn, the series is concluded.
