Looks like Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, will be a pretty fun day in Roberts Arm. There will be family skating at the outdoor rink starting late in the morning, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Training Wheels will be there to supply hot chocolate.
The skating rink was a great community project, put in place by the hardworking folks at the Town and Fire Department. They pumped water from Crescent Lake to get it done. The rink is located on Berg Street. (Berg Street on Google Maps)
Also at 11:00 am on Saturday concessions stands will open at the Roberts Arm Fire Hall. The stands will be open from 11:00 to 2:00 pm.
There’ll be a wood sawing competition at 1:00 pm and a firefighter obstacle course at 2:30 pm.
There will be a ’50/50 Dice Run’ at Crescent Lake at 2:00 pm. Registration is $20 and registration will be at the Fire Hall at 11:00 am. In the Dice Run, snowmobilers will follow a course with check points. At each check point dice will be rolled and results recorded. At the last check point the winner will be determined.
Kids will have another chance to enjoy hot chocolate and fresh air while sliding at ‘Liam and Landon’s’ from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
