September 14, 2018 ~ Keep an eye out for red striped socks this month! Three ‘Red Shoe Crews’ will pound the pavement in Green Bay.
All Red Shoe Crew Walks have the aim to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House is located very close to the Janeway Children’s Hospital and it provides a great place to stay for families while their children get treatment at the hospital.
This community post is brought to you by Brian Whitehorne:
The first walk will happen in King’s Point on Saturday, September 15th. It will start at the Fire Hall and registration is at 1:00 pm.
There will be a Red Shoe Crew Walk in Pilleys Island on Saturday, September 29th. It will start at the Pilley’s Island Recreation Centre and registration will be at 12:30 pm. Email transferred donations are accepted at [email protected]
Springdale will have a walk on Sunday, September 23rd. The walk will start from the College Building and registration is at 1:00 pm. The Springdale Red Shoe Crew is also selling 50/50 tickets, available for purchase at Rideout’s, ICECAP Youth Centre or Training Wheels.
Last year the three Green Bay walks combined raised a very impressive $13,000+ for Ronald McDonald House in St. John’s. (Read on greenbayfeed.com: Green Bay Raised Over $13,000 For Ronald McDonald House)
