Mine Owner Takes On Yet More Land for Exploration

December 13, 2017 ~ Maritime Resources Corp. announced today that it has concluded an option agreement to earn a 100% interest in the Strugglers Pond property. The property is also located at the Whisker Valley area, which is already controlled by the company.

This mining news is brought to you in part by:

Maritime completed an extensive trenching program at Whisker this fall, and announced high grade gold was found there.

The addition of the Strugglers Pond Property increases yet again the considerable amount of land Maritime now has in its hands for exploration in the Green Bay and Baie Verte Peninsula areas. The company optioned local properties El Strato and Whisker Hill in 2017.

Regarding Strugglers Pond, Maritime President and CEO Doug Fulcher said:

[…] The property has also demonstrated some of the same high grade gold that we have recently encountered at Whisker Hill. Our intention will be to continue exploration on all the Whisker Valley Properties while we continue to pursue the development and restart of the Hammerdown gold mine.”

The company has an agreement in place with Rambler Metals and Mining and is in the process of evaluating the past-producing Hammerdown Mine, located just outside of King’s Point, for possible reopening. Springdale Forest Resources was used this fall to open the mine’s entrance and a well-experienced project manager, a resident of King’s point, was also recently taken on.
