There will be a meeting of the LGBTQ and Friends group in Clarke Memorial Hall (Grace United Church basement) in Springdale on September 15th at 7:00 pm.
The meeting of LGBTQ and Friends will be in the form of a discussion, and is open to anyone who believes as Ryan Reid does that:
“we are all children of God, all equal in God’s eyes, and that God delights in our differences as well as our similarities.”
This meeting will be a follow up to the well-received National Day Against Homophobia service held in May 2017 at Grace United Church in Springdale and organized by Rev. Cooke and Ryan Reid. Before the service there was a march from Indian River High School. The service included uplifting music and songs from the choir, and sermons of course. After the service there was a social in the bright church basement.
This was all within the framing of inclusion, tolerance and friendship to the LGBTQ community.
