King’s Point & Rattling Brook Come Home Year Announced for 2020

August 24, 2018 ~ King’s Point & Rattling Brook Come Home Year plans are well underway.

A committee has been formed and the date has been set for July 25th to August 2nd, 2020.

And the committee is wasting no time. They have set up a Facebook Group for the CHY, and the fundraising has already kicked off.

There is a logo and slogan contest in motion as well.

Registration is now open, and early bird pricing is in effect until July 25th, 2019. Every early bird registrant will also have a chance at a prize valued at $250+.

The last Come Home Year for King’s Point was about 20 years ago.

This year, three big Come Home Year celebrations were held in the Green Bay area: in Brighton, on Long Island and also in the Jackson’s Cove – Harry’s Harbour area.

A Come Home Year is a one or two week community festival that is a popular type of event in Newfoundland & Labrador. Its aim is to encourage friends and family to return to their hometown for a visit.
