More Hockey! The Green Bay Cup Starts January 5

The Green Bay Cup is back! This season the friendly fight between the Springdale Braves and the Green Bay South Combines will be a 3/5 series.

Game 1 will go down on Friday, January 5th in Green Bay South Arena in Triton. Warm up is at 7:30 pm and the puck drops at 8:00 pm. Admission is: $5 adults, $3 students and kids aged under 10 get in for free.

Last season the Green Bay Cup was a 4/7 series, taken by the Braves in game 6 with a final score of 6-3. The series closed in Triton on January 27th in front of about 450 fans.

The Green Bay Cup had not been seen in this area for many years. It found new life when it was brought back as a 3-out-of-5 series played out through December 2015 to March 2016. The Springdale Braves took that series too, 3 games to 1.

With the Braves having taken the series both in 2016 and 2017, it’s a good bet that the Combines now really want some payback.

And that will mean some pretty good hockey.

Just throw in some hot chocolate and have a great night out at the arena!
