Company’s 2018 Exploration Work Started at Pilley’s Island

September 6, 2018 ~ Vancouver-based exploration company Great Atlantic Resources announced today that it has started more exploration work at Pilley’s Island.

The current work includes prospecting, and rock and soil geochemical sampling.

In late 2017 the company reported “significant levels” of zinc, lead, copper, gold and silver mineralization on its property on Pilley’s Island, in an area the company calls “the Bull Road Showing”.

The Bull Road Showing has been the main focus of the company’s work on Pilley’s Island to date. The company is planning diamond drilling there, to happen in 2018.

Back in January of this year Great Atlantic Resources announced that it had quadrupled the size of its ‘Pilley’s Island Base Metal – Precious Metal Property’ by staking, increasing it from 875 hectares to 4,600 hectares.

That is 95% of Pilley’s Island.

The property includes the historic Pilley’s Island Mine, which was operated in the 1890s and early 1900s.
