March 16, 2018 ~ Brighton’s main road looks very different today. Lorne and Wavey Noseworthy’s home has been demolished.
The demolition of the home comes as part of an effort to help its owners. The Green Bay South Caring Communities Committee has initiated an ambitious volunteer/donations project. The project is build a new little home for the family of three who escaped with nothing more than the clothes on their backs just days before last Christmas.
Just after a December 21st fire made their home uninhabitable, help came to Lorne and Wavey Noseworthy from friends, family and organizations. Accommodations were found to see them through Christmas and to see them through winter.
A home for the Noseworthy family is Green Bay South Caring Communities Committee’s eighth project. The Committee has completed projects large and small for seven other families. These were families like the Noseworthy’s who fell into difficult situations through circumstances beyond their control .
This project for the Noseworthy’s has struck a chord. Donations are coming in from businesses, churches and individuals across Green Bay.
But more donations are still needed to see the project through.
