Braves & Wildcats! Central NL HOCKEY News | Jan 7

The Central NL Hockey League season is now well under way, with nine weeks ‘in the net’.

Here are recent game (week 9) results, released on January 6th, 2019.

Weekend of Jan 4th-6th: 

The Lewisporte Seahawks defeated the Grand Falls-Windsor Blades 4-3 (OT) on Friday night but the Blades then defeated the Seahawks 2-1 Sunday afternoon.

The Straight Shore Beothics took the Twillingate Combines 6-3 on Saturday night and again 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Triton’s Northeast Wildcats defeated the Springdale Braves 7-4 on Saturday night. Their Sunday afternoon game was postponed due to poor weather.

Triton’s Northeast Wildcats met the Springdale Braves in Baie Verte at Tommy Ricketts Arena. Triton has been having technical issues this season at their community stadium, which has delayed the laying of an ice surface.

The effort to correct the ice situation in Triton has been ongoing and the Town posted on social media on January 4th that parts for repairs were on the way.
