December 17, 2018 ~ The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources is reminding residents of Newfoundland and Labrador that they can apply online for Domestic Cutting Permits beginning January 2, 2019.
To be able to renew your Domestic Cutting Permit online, you must meet the following criteria:
You had a Domestic Cutting Permit in the previous year
You are the only Domestic Cutting Permit holder in your household
You don’t have any outstanding fines (forestry, traffic…)
You’re not applying for the senior age discount for the first time
You don’t need to change your Helper information (if applicable)
Those renewing a personal Domestic Cutting Permit online will need the nine-digit permit number found on their previous permit, and will need a credit card for payment, and will have to put in their harvesting information from the previous year.
Gov says getting a Domestic Cutting Permit by email usually takes 24 to 48 hours, by postal mail takes within five to 10 business days.
